2019 Family History & Genealogy Fair

Visit the Main Library on Saturday (09/28/19) from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. for the Family History and Genealogy Fair! Meet representatives from genealogy, family history, and local history organizations. 

Free and open to public. No reservation required.

Robert C. Carpenter will be guest speaker at the 2019 Family History and Genealogy Fair at 2:00 pm. Mr. Carpenter’s presentation will start at 2:00 pm. Visit early to meet genealogy and family history organizations starting at 1:00 pm.

Retired principal, Robert C. Carpenter is a native of Gaston County, N.C. and currently teaches genealogy at Gaston College. He is a charter member of Gaston Lincoln Genealogical Society and current president and editor of the bulletin Footprints in Time. He has published: Carpenters A Plenty, 1982; The history of Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1990; Gaston County, North Carolina, in the Civil War, 2016; authored historic proposals for the Gaston County Register of Historic Places and articles for the Dictionary of North Carolina Biography.
